The push-up style allows for a clean, smooth pole and no bulky crank. And one long continuous segment for the pole (instead of two interlocking pieces) gives it strength and stability, without cause for wobble. The aluminum throughout feels solid and of a high quality. And the Sunbrella fabric cover is well made. I never got a shipping notification or delivery estimate from Patio Living, which was unfortunate, but otherwise the purchase experience was smooth.
