Easy to open and close. We did follow the guidlines as to the umbrella stand ( even though our inserts thru the table) of 10 pounds of weight per one foot of umbrella. So the umbrella stand has 110 pounds of sand in it. We have had some storms in the last week with wind and the umbrella did fantastic. Ordering was easy and customer service (chat) answered all our questions before we placed the order. PatioLiving does a nice job on price and service, beats all the local shops.
