These chairs are very easy to sit down on and get up from. Not like a typical adirondack chair. We could not be happier with these chairs. I have two suggestions. First use a power drill to assemble with screws. We were really disappointed to open the first box and find the assembly instructions together with the hardware taped to one of the furniture pieces. Under tools required, one line says #2 Square Drive Bit (Not included). I have many different bits for my drill but I didn't have a #2 square bit driver. My suggestion to anyone buying these chairs is to buy a #2 Square Bit Drive before you open the box. I really think the retailers or manufacturers should email assembly instructions or links to assembly instructions before delivering the products. Having the tools you need to assemble your new chairs will make the unboxing experience a lot more fun. Once we purchased a #2 square bit my wife and I had both chairs put together in about 15 minutes. The hardware is very high quality. Each piece is numbered and the instructions are easy to follow. Great product.
