However, it took approximately 16 months, countless emails, and three separate deliveries. There were delays given the impact of ‘COVID supply chain’. The first coffee table arrived and had a corner completely smashed in. The delivery people would not take the table back and so we had to move it into the garage for months as we awaited the next table. Table number two also arrived damaged with hairline cracks. The delivery people were only allowed to take back the previously damaged table, not both. Several months later the third table arrived and was to our surprise undamaged. The second damaged table was returned. The takeaways: 1 - Inspect your coffee table carefully before the delivery team leaves and document the findings, 2 - be prepared to communicate with the service team - they were helpful but re-telling the story became tiresome, 3 - there are different surfaces to this table (smooth, slightly rough, almost polished) and this was unknown to us at the time of ordering, 4 - ultimately, we’re very happy with the table but given its size and weight be prepared to deal with a damaged product and the associated hoops to get the table you want.
