4.0 out of 5.0 Great umbrella at a great price! Midwest from Orchard Lake, MI 8-5-2019 I ordered this umbrella for a patio on a lake that gets a fair amount of wind. I have had problems with other cheaper umbrellas in the same location blowing over or being damaged by the wind. Because of this I was a bit hesitant about getting a cantilevered umbrella. However, I have had the umbrella for a month now and it has performed fantastically. It handles the wind much better than any other umbrella I have out there. The opening mechanism works extremely well, and the shade material is great with fantastic selection through PatioLiving. The cover that comes with it fits the umbrella perfectly but is a bit tricky to put on, otherwise, it would have been a perfect rating.

It looks beautiful over our bar in the backyard. The only thing I would recommend is having something to connect the 4 bases together. My other umbrella had that feature and it made it easy to move from place to place. Other than that, I look forward to years of enjoyment. I only buy umbrellas with Sunbrella fabric and was happy to find this one on sale!

4.0 out of 5.0 Lots of shade Edward from Millville, NJ 8-25-2018 Easy to operate and lots and lots of shade. I only gave it a four because I had trouble with one of the four bases. It had a split seam and leaked the sand that I filled it with. Had to send pictures to prove the problem. They did immediately send me a new base. The base is very hard to fill if the sand is wet. Make sure you get four bags of dry sand. If the bag feels hard when you try to push it in, it is wet sand and should not be bought. It's a shame they don't use bases like the IKEA umbrellas (not as big though) use. The whole top opens and the sand is easily poured in, instead of a 2" hole like on this umbrella base.

Just as appears but the photo doesn't do it 100% justice since the sun's coming straight down, making the shaded area appear small. Positioned it at the southern edge of the entertaining area for 180* shade from sun up to down. Easy open, close, tilt. On mine, some flaws in the fabric and a slight sideways lean of the mast (not to be mistaken for the intended backwards lean). Simple assembly but sand fill was indeed a task. Just get a funnel or cut the bottom off a large plastic bottle. Obviously can't judge longer-term durability (rust, stains, mechanical, etc...) so, fingers crossed) but overall after one week, pretty happy.

5.0 out of 5.0 Superior offset umbrella! Sandy from Hortonville, WI 7-1-2016 Though our California Umbrella product is well-made, we had to wait almost 6 weeks for its delivery! This is particularly upsetting because on the Luxe Decor website, it stated (at the time I placed my online order) "ships in 1 to 5 days." That changed to "ships in 4 to 6 weeks" shortly after I ordered the umbrella (due to a backlog of orders at California Umbrella). Needless to say, I would not have ordered this umbrella if I had known I'd have to wait until mid-August to receive it! On the upside, I requested a discount for the ridiculously long wait time and got it!

5.0 out of 5.0 Very Pleased Mildred from Moultonborough, NH 6-20-2016 This 11ft cantilever umbrella is well constructed and engineered. Very easy to put together with no tools required other than the supplied hex key. I used 6 bags of 0.5 cubic ft sand to fill the 4 plastic bases - will probably top off with 1 more bag. Already was tested in some pretty high steady winds lakeside when large whitecaps occurred. Base held the umbrella perfectly steady, and the umbrella held up. After a while, when the winds picked up even more (windiest day of season yet), I didn't want to push it, so lowered it. The cover fits well and is easier to maneuver than I thought it would be. To me, I really like the feature allowing one to easily rotate the umbrella, and the 5 position raise and lower of the cantilever slides very easily. Also like the sunbrella material. Overall very pleased. It just took a long time for the order to be fulfilled since it was built to order.

3.0 out of 5.0 Satisfactory buy Joseph from Macomb, MI 6-2-2016 The umbrella was received in good condition. The instructiuons were sufficient for quick assembly. However, I wanted to use sand in the umbrella base but the holes are very small (about 1-1/4" diameter) and would have taken forever to fill all four sections. I instead filled them with waterr but will need to empty them before it freezes this winter. I will try again in the spring to come up with a way to fill them with sand. The fabric on top of the umbrella is a bit too large for the frame and does on stay on suggly. Each time we open the umbrella at least one of the loops has come off the frame.
